Petals of Light – Exhibition at Wai Ariki Spa

An Exhibition by Anahera Pederson | Mango Made Floral Art
Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa invites you to experience Petals of Light, a vibrant spring exhibition by local artist Anahera Pedersen, creator of Mango Made Floral Art.
As a proud retired nana, Anahera discovered a passion for crafting extraordinary giant floral sculptures that celebrate the beauty, strength, and wonder of nature. What began as a hobby has blossomed into a striking collection of handcrafted statement pieces, each standing over a metre tall and designed to spark joy, curiosity, and connection.
Inspired by the rich colours of the natural world and the resilience found in both native and traditional blooms, Anahera’s work reflects themes of hope, growth, beauty, and renewal.
Through Petals of Light, visitors are invited into a spring-inspired world of colour, creativity, and emotion. More than a celebration of the season, this exhibition reflects on personal growth, fresh beginnings, and the quiet strength found in nature’s cycles. As each sculpture unfolds like a flower reaching for the sun, the collection encourages moments of pause, reflection, and delight.
“My hope is that as you walk through this exhibition, you leave feeling inspired, uplifted, and reminded that we all have the ability to bloom beyond our challenges”.
Exclusively at Te RouRou Café at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa from 1 September to 30 November. Open daily from 9am- 5pm Weekdays and 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday.
